How to pull unscheduled treatment in Dentrix

How to pull unscheduled treatment in Dentrix

Use the Unscheduled Treatment Plans report in the Office Manager. Anyone with reporting access can run it, usually the office manager or treatment coordinator.

Office Manager › Reports › Lists › Unscheduled Treatment Plans

  1. Open the Office Manager, then go to Reports › Lists › Unscheduled Treatment Plans.

  2. Set the date range to the last 24 months and leave provider and patient ranges set to All.

  3. Choose Detailed Report to show insurance benefits, and uncheck Referred TO Procedures and Continuing Care Procedures.

  4. Click OK, then open the report from the Batch Processor. Totals are at the end.

For a sortable on-screen view, open Options › Treatment Manager in the Appointment Book.

Why your Dentrix total doesn’t tell the whole story

Why your Dentrix total doesn’t tell the whole story

Too high

Alternates and inactive patients count

Every treatment-planned procedure is included, even alternate options and patients who have left the practice.

Inconsistent

Two people, two totals

Referred-out and continuing care settings swing the number, so it changes depending on who runs it.

Static

A printout, not a work list

The report comes out of the Batch Processor. Nobody can work through it patient by patient.

Is this Dentrix G-series or Dentrix Ascend?

This page covers server-based Dentrix (G-series). On the cloud version? See the Dentrix Ascend page.

Does my IT team need to be involved?

Usually for about 15 minutes, to install the remote access tool on the Dentrix computer. Nothing is used until the BAA is signed.

We’re switching practice management software soon. Should we wait?

No. We can connect your current system now and reconnect when you move, so your report and follow-up don’t pause.

Do you work with Weave, Vyne or our reminder system?

Yes. Codent works the unscheduled treatment list your reminder tools don’t touch, and books into Dentrix, so your other tools see the appointments as normal.
